Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 April 2026

By using the PowerSync cloud authentication service at powersync.cc ("the Service") you agree to the following terms. PowerSync is operated by Ben Boller (sole trader) in Australia ("we", "us").

1. What the Service does

The Service authenticates you with Tesla and proxies Tesla Fleet API requests on your behalf so that the PowerSync Home Assistant integration can read your battery status and adjust tariff schedules. Use of the Service requires a valid Tesla account.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only with Tesla accounts you own or are authorised to control. You agree not to:

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access if we detect abuse.

3. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, accuracy of data, or fitness for any particular purpose. Tesla's Fleet API is a third-party service and may change, become unavailable, or rate-limit requests at any time.

4. No liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost savings on electricity costs, damage to battery hardware, lost data, or service interruptions.

You acknowledge that the Service controls real-world energy hardware. You are responsible for understanding the implications of any automated actions taken through the Service.

5. Cost

The Service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future, with reasonable notice to existing users.

6. Account termination

You can revoke access at any time by removing the PowerSync integration from Home Assistant or by visiting Tesla's third-party apps settings. We may terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason.

7. Privacy

Use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
